New Song: Brass Bonanza (Lounge Version)

This is not my usual style, but I'm posting it here just because. ;)

Hockey season is upon us, and the folks over at Section 328 have a great podcast called "Cheaters Never Win". They use an old SNES chiptune version of Brass Bonanza (the Hartford Whalers theme song) in their intro, and I thought I'd take it upon myself to make an alternate version.

I fiddled with a couple of different things (and spent WAY too long figuring out those @#$&* weird chords) before working out this cheesy lounge cover:

New Song: Being without Seeing

| 0 Comments | 0 TrackBacks

I released a new track this week on Bandcamp: Being without Seeing. Check it out, and let me know what you think!

It's one of my first with full lyrics instead of being purely ambient:

Sometimes it's hard to keep from getting
overly distracted.
It's time to get away from
constant being without seeing.

Time to pay attention,
gotta watch where I am going.
Time to pay attention,
need to plant the seeds for growing.

Sometimes it's not enough to
separate myself from complication, and I
know I'm doing this to myself, and I
want to make it there.

Sometimes I can't believe I never
noticed it was sneak-ing up to me, and I
kick myself for waiting too long. No more
constant being without seeing.

Time to pay attention,
gotta watch where I am going.
Time to pay attention,
need to plant the seeds for growing.

Time to pay attention,
gotta watch where I am going.
Time to pay attention,
need to plant the seeds for growing.

New Song: Ever Unfolding

Long ago, a friend of mine had told me me about something he read which said that certain tones, harmonics, and binaural beats can cause your brain to release various chemicals, essentially invoking moods. This song is my attempt to use those tones to create a mental state of relaxation and meditation.

Music Reviews Gives "Finally" 4 Stars

| 0 Comments | 0 TrackBacks

Music Reviews at ballweb.org gave Finally 4 out of 5 stars (well, whole notes), including the highest rating ever for an individual track from an independent artist.

It is very rare than a mostly unknown artist has a release of this caliber and even more so as a first release. "Perfect Paranoia" alone makes this album worth listening to.

While digital distribution is all completely set up, I'm in the process of getting physical CDs made. The masters have been mailed off to TuneCore, and I've got the album artwork finished up.
